Children attending program are very active and involved. Young children learn best through hands on exploration. All participants need to be dressed in comfortable clothing that are easily cleaned. Each child needs to have a complete change of clothing at OTR. In the winter, we will continue to have outdoor play.
Please be sure your child brings appropriate clothing daily, such as a winter coat, boots, mittens, and a hat. An extra set of outdoor gear may also be left at OTR during the winter months.
Slippers are always welcome!!!
Our children explore freely throughout OTR and play on our rugs and flooring. We are a sock only facility to help ensure a safe and clean environment. Please remove your child's footwear at drop off and place their footwear on the shoe racks below the cubbies.
Please do not walk around OTR in your footwear.
Meals and snacks will be provided. We are enrolled in the Clarendon Nutritional Program though the USDA and are required to meet their nutritional requirements.
Please indicate on the appropriate form your child’s like and dislikes as well as any food allergies.
Meals and snacks will be posted daily in our Bright Wheels app.
No child shall be taken from the daycare in a vehicle. We have two, 6 passenger carts in which we take the children for walks. If you would prefer your child not go on walks, please indicate that on the enrollment form.
All OTR Staff are certified in CPR and First Aid. Please note that it is a requirement that ALL childcare providers be certified in both these areas. CPR certification is update yearly and the First Aid Certification is updated every three years.
OTR operates in two sessions, summer and school year. Confirmation form for both sessions are included in the January Newsletter. Once your spot is secure you will be responsible for tuition for the entirety of the session.
Children should arrive to program dressed and ready for the day. This means wearing clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and temperature. In the nice weather, we are often outside upon opening and spend most, if not all of the day outside, including eating meals and snacks. Please send your children in closed toe shoes. No flip-flops please.
