Meals and Snacks
Meals and snacks will be provided. We are enrolled in the Providers Resources Program though the Department of Nutrition and are required to follow their nutritional requirements.
Please indicate on the appropriate form your child’s like and dislikes, as well as, any food allergies, if you have not already done so.
Meals and snacks will be posted daily in our Brightwheels app.
Field Trips
No child shall be taken from the daycare in a vehicle. We do have a 6-passenger cart and a 4-passenger cart that we take the children for walks in. If you would prefer your child, not go on walks, please indicate that on the enrollment form.
CPR and First Aid
Both my assistants and I are certified in CPR and First Aid. Please note that it is a requirement that ALL childcare providers be certified in both these areas and that the CPR certification is update yearly and the First Aid Certification is updated every three years.
Evacuation Plan
In the event we need to evacuate Over the Rainbow, my assistant and I will gather all of the children. I will grab my cell phone and the "Apocalypse Bag" which contains the following:
- First Aid Kit
- The Emergency Cards for each child including a photo
- Individual water for each child
- snacks for each child
- diapers
- wipes
- hand sanitizers
- adult masks
- children's masks
We will escort the children out of Over The Rainbow and proceed to the back yard shed that contains our 6 passenger wagon and our 4 passenger stroller. We will put the children in the stroller and walk them to the Perley School. We will call 911 on route. The Georgetown Police have it on file that we are a large family childcare and we will be waiting there in the event of a town wide emergency. We will also call parents and let them know we have implemented our Emergency Evacuation Plan and are at the Perley School. We will also call our licensor and let them know.
Summer and School Year Session
OTR operates in two sessions, summer and school year. Confirmation form for both sessions are included in the January Newsletter. Once your spot is secure you will be responsible for tuition for the entirety of each session.
Termination of Services
If I feel we are not the right program for your child and/or family I will do my best to give a 30-advance notice for termination of services.
I reserve the right to terminate services immediately.
